Procurement Manager - Technical products - English / French / German (m/f), Lyon

Your key responsibilities

• Build and continuously improve the procurement strategy, governance, and processes, leading and developing a small procurement team
• Define and execute category strategies based on business needs, market analysis, and total cost of ownership
• Lead sourcing activities (RFQs, benchmarking), supplier selection and qualification, and contract negotiations (price, quality, lead time)
• Manage suppliers end-to-end, including forecasting, performance management, cost optimization, and risk management
• Ensure cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Project Management
• Drive early procurement involvement in R&D projects, supporting design-to-cost and supplier innovation
• Develop and expand a strategic supplier and partner network, including joint roadmaps and IP alignment
• Oversee contract management and supplier data in ERP systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Reporting to the Finance Director, contribute to buying processes and track performances through defined KPIs

Your profile and background

• Master’s degree in business administration, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic procurement
• Experience in technical products (e.g. electromechanical systems) and/or R&D sourcing; chemical industry experience is a plus
• Fluent in English (company language)
• French and German are a strong plus
