Trade Finance Manager, Lyon

The Trade Finance Manager has a key role in the area organization being an interface between sales, finance department, customers and financial institutions. His/her target is to ensure appropriate financing solutions for all customers of the area whilst balancing the risk for the company.
The position is located in Lyon (France) but requires regular trips in Germany and the other countries of the areas.

Major Responsibility

• Propose through Manitowoc Finance and if needed any other financial institution a financing structure for any sales/project in the area
• Manage the relationship with BPLG&DLL, coordinate and support teamwork with Manitowoc Sales team, the dealer network and BPLG/DLL sales force.
• Propose and implement innovative financing tools and financing campaigns to get incremental sales
• Maintain and develop relationship with other financial institutions to ensure back up financing solutions
• Analyse the backlog/new orders to authorize line start and make sure cranes are not in stock because of financing
• Follow up with credit management of releases for delivery
• Negotiate buy back/recourse with end users and financial institutions

Skills and Competencies

• Experience in an international environment 
• Knowledge of Sales financing, legal and accounting background
• Working experience in US corporate culture.
• Fluent in English and German

• Business school or university master

• Minimum 5 years experience in sales financing or credit management in an international environment
