The main missions

  • Lead the management of program purchasing ensure the development of programs in order to achieve Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD) objectives. Systematize the integration of expert suppliers in the pre-Requisition for Quotation Approval (RFQA) phase. Generalize the program purchasing control based on cost follow-up tools and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools
  • Lead Program Purchasing organization management: define the objectives of the program purchasing team, follow-up and help the team to achieve them, ensure the active use of sourcing tools and guarantee the deployment of best practices
  • Ensure the involvement of the Program Purchasing organization with Purchasing Program and Acquisition Leaders in any new and under development project. Maintain contact with the program management staff and the CBUs
  • Ensure the deployment of the purchasing strategy in programs, collaboration with the Commodity Management to align on Early Supplier Involvement in the acquisition phase
  • Monitor the BOP purchasing performance of programs: ensure control of costs, respect for delivery deadlines, respect for quality requirements and the implementation of corrective actions
  • Ensure regular reporting for assigned programs in terms of cost, quality and delivery of panel suppliers

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have/be :

  • Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business.
  • Nice to have: Professional Purchasing Qualification

Experience :

  • Minimum 8 years experience including experience in Production Purchasing
  • Experience with international exposure and proven experience in a management role

Nice to have:

  • Broad experience in Program Management, Program purchasing, or other Purchasing role

Skills and competencies :

  • Knowledge of products design, development and production launch processes
  • Knowledge of APQP and program management in automotive
  • Understanding of purchasing commodity strategy
  • Fluent English
  • Broad and comprehensive understanding of concept and principles within purchasing discipline
  • Customer and Results orientation
  • Ability to work in a matrixed organization
  • Developed communication skills and capability to influence and negotiate
  • Strong Leadership and management skills: proven ability to establish, develop, lead and coach a team
