Key Account Manager (m/f/d), Bietigheim-Bissingen


  • Define on a worldwide strategy for the ULS Renault Nissan portfolio deployment in Regions
  • Ensure achievement of Product Line sales performance for Renault Nissan in line with agreed targets
  • Promote appropriate innovative products, modules and systems


Define Sales strategy for the customer:

  • Drive specific product interests from the customer, follow-up and translate into business.
  • Maintain and develop deep understanding of Valeo’s competitive advantages to select strategic projects, appropriate innovative products, modules and systems.
  • Organize roadmaps exchange in order to define the Product vision for the customer.
  • Define the strategic projects to be acquired in close collaboration with the Product lines.
  • Coordinate all the product lines strategies and activities related to the customer in charge.

Business intelligence and information sharing:

  • Identify decision making actors and rules on customer side, gather and share all useful information with concerned Product Lines and functional networks (ex. R&D, Industrial, Quality, Project Management)
  • Develop an intimate relationship with key decision makers in customers’ purchasing, engineering and marketing organizations at senior level.
  • Be the customer’s central contact for information concerning the organization, key persons, new vehicle launches, production plans, etc, of the customers and communicates this information to Product lines.
  • Competition intelligence in full compliance including market share monitoring.

Ensure achievement of sales performance for the customer in charge in line with agreed targets:

  • Be the preferred interface between the customer and the Product Line.
  • Be responsible for consistency of selling prices worldwide.
  • Drive globally the NPA, propose the sales strategy and participate in the CAA process.
  • Drive global negotiations with the Customer: business acquisition; annual productivity, market effects (currency, raw material,...), claims, overdues, warranty...
  • Tailor the sales messages based on a customer’s business and individual attributes.
  • Take control in guiding the customer to a recommended action by discussion alternatives and reinforcing the value of making a change.
  • Manage communication in crisis, protecting customer’s relationship.
  • Coordinate important customer visits.

Promote appropriate innovative products, modules and systems:

  • Coordinate and organize lobbying activity and manage global RFI/RFQ’s.


  • Degree in Engineering or Business
  • Several years of experience as Key Account Manager, ideally in the Automotive Industry
  • International business experience and sales experience (ideally in Automotive)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong skills in building lasting relationships with customers
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve difficult problems
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
