Tasks

  • Management of end user statement lifecycle activities (including preparation, validation, tracking, renewal, archival) to ensure consistency and completeness of end use and end user.
  • Support preparation and coordination of foreign export licence applications and authorizations, ensure collection, renewal and archival.
  • Provide regulatory guidance, training and advisory on foreign export control regulations (licensing requirements, compliance obligations) for engineering, supply chain, procurement and program teams
  • Act as the primary point of contact for export control discussions with foreign suppliers, partners and subcontractors
  • Support the classification activities (where applicable) for hardware, software and technical data under relevant foreign regimes

Profile

  • Min 3-5 years of experience working in a multinational environment advising on international trade and export control matters
  • Business acumen and ethical behaviour in a heavily regulated business environment;
  • Knowledge of Foreign Export Control Regulations in particular US and UK
  • University educated
  • Strong leadership and communication skills ; sound business judgment; ability to appropriately involve others in consultations and decisions
  • Excellent writing skills required to write and edit policies and procedures, reports and memorandums;
  • Strong relationship building, networking, interpersonal and communication skills
  • High degree of initiative, credibility, independence, integrity, confidentiality and trust
  • Ability to quickly earn the respect of senior management in order to be credible and effective in this complex and constantly-developing environment
  • Languages: Commercially fluent in English and French; German is considered a plus.
