Airbus Group - Airbus Defence & Space

Airbus is a leading aircraft manufacturer with the most modern and comprehensive family of airliners on the market, ranging in capacity from 100 to more than 500 seats. Airbus champions innovative technologies and offers some of the world’s most fuel efficient and quiet aircraft. Airbus has sold over 13.800 aircraft to more than 360 customers worldwide. Airbus has achieved more than 8,000 deliveries since the first Airbus aircraft entered into service. Headquartered in Toulouse, France.

Tasks

  • Rework Cost Validation: You'll work closely with On-Site-Support (OSS), its responsible departments in the Supplier Homebase (SHB), and our Airbus production areas to determine and agree on the correct liability for Non-Conformities (NCs). You'll clarify cross-program responsibilities for deviations from contractual compliance. This includes collecting, analyzing, and negotiating transnational cost data (time expenditure, material, delivery costs) from suppliers for all programs. You'll assert Airbus claims for complaints and confirm their factual accuracy.
  • Process and Policy Implementation: You'll oversee the work for all local Cabin On-Site-Support and communicate applicable guidelines and processes. Furthermore, you'll define and create external company coordination agreements, including scheduling for Final Assembly Line (FAL) sites worldwide.
  • Contract Design and Performance Monitoring: You'll design On-Site-Support-related contract components (OSS requirements, prices for performance disruptions of "OSS reactivity" when targets are not met, lump sums for sub-components). Regular reviews to monitor agreed cross-program On-Site-Support performance in cooperation with On-Site Support (OSS) management and supplier homebase management are also part of your duties.
  • Problem Solving and Process Optimization: You'll support, lead, verify, and implement cross-departmental improvement projects. Identifying recurring problems (Airbusand supplier-caused), initiating escalations, and developing and implementing measures for risks are also part of your role.
  • Technical Expertise and Reporting: You'll contribute your technical and professional expertise to new product introductions, industrializations, and process improvements. You'll also create and revise generic and individual reports on resources, budget, and performance, as well as ad-hoc analyses for production and strategic purchasing.

Profile

  • Qualification: You have a completed university degree, ideally in engineering fields such as aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration with a strong technical affinity (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Experience: You bring several years of professional experience in purchasing, manufacturing engineering, or production within an aerospace environment. First experience in Data Analytics would be a plus.
  • Flexibility: You are prepared for recurring and sometimes unpredictable changes between different work areas and diverse technical requirements, working closely with the Airbus Supply Chain, our internal and external customers as well as our cabin supplier and its OSS.
  • Collaboration and Adaptability: You are characterized by a strong ability for cross-functional consensual coordination at an international level, even with conflicting interests among various stakeholders such as engineering, purchasing, quality, FAL, Flightline, customers, and suppliers.
  • Language Skills: Business fluent English (negotiation level) is essential, German skills are a plus.
