Tasks
- Vehicle-Level Test Execution: Executing system-level tests directly in the vehicle based on the defined release scope, test plan, and strategy, while ensuring the reliability and repeatability of all test runs.
- Test Specification & Design: Creating comprehensive system test cases and specifications derived from system requirements and functional KPIs, and aligning them closely with Function Owners.
- Requirement Analysis: Participating in the analysis and technical review of system requirement specifications addressed to the test team to ensure maximum test coverage.
- Test Planning & Environment Setup: Supporting the definition of the overall System Test plan and coordinating the distribution and readiness of the System Test Environment (vehicles, instrumentation, and loggers).
- Issue Triage & Ticket Analysis: Recording test results, identifying non-conformities, and supporting the project team in analyzing, reproducing, and debugging vehicle defects and tickets.
- Peer Reviews & Quality Gates: Performing and participating in rigorous peer reviews of test documents (e.g., test plans, test specifications) to maintain high engineering standards.
- Escalation & Milestone Support: Supporting the closing of system test activities and, in case of deviations, escalating promptly to the System Test Lead with clear data and proposals for decision-making.
Profile
- Embedded Systems Knowledge: Good understanding of embedded software architectures, vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), and automotive electronics.
- Vehicle Testing Expertise: Proven experience in hands-on vehicle testing, data logging, and utilizing automotive measurement tools (e.g., Vector CANoe, CANalyzer).
- Testing Methodology: Strong background in systems engineering and testing frameworks, including requirements analysis, test case writing methodologies, traceability concepts, and defect reporting.
- Process Model Familiarity: Solid knowledge of industry standard quality and process models, specifically Automotive SPICE® (ASPICE) and ISO 26262.
- Analytical Mindset: Excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose complex, vehicle-level anomalies and trace them back to software or hardware requirements.
- Automation & Reporting: Familiarity with basic test automation concepts and strong reporting skills to communicate test results clearly to cross-functional teams.
