Within the Airbus Safran Launchers management Organisation, you will be in charge of Industrial Means purchasing.

You will ensure the application of the strategy and of the actions at Airbus Safran Launchers level in the respect of Small Tools Commodity Manager, in order to ensure added value for ASL.

You will work with the team, and participate to the improvement actions with a common target to offer a high level of service to Internal customers, with an optimum efficiency.

This position will require a security clearance.

Tasks & accountabilities

You will be responsible for:

Up-stream involvement:

  • Being a focal point and Interfacing with the Internal Customer,
  • Being involved upstream of the projects
  • Being the focus point of internal projects,
  • Gathering upstream needs,
  • Developing your supplier base, both on the commercial and technical axes.
  • Giving directions (R&D, investment, process, etc.) in order to offer the relevant service to the projects,
  • Working with the Internal customer to define the MFT (Multi-Functional Team) that will address the subject,
  • Participating in the MFT and contributing to the implementation of the competitiveness plans with Engineering and Programmes,

RFQ management:

  • Being in charge of RFQ management,
  • Leading the GATES process for your critical subjects with the PSM community (Program Supplier Manager), when needed,
  • Participating in the supplier decision with the internal customer,
  • Communicating with the customer/supplier to follow-up on the business progress,
  • Negotiating the offers from a technical and commercial point of view,
  • Negotiating specific contracts for Small Tools, with a special focus in terms of industrialisation and risk management,
  • Archiving offers and requirements.

Supplier management

  • Participating with the Supplier Industrial Validation Manager on periodic management and progress Meetings with the suppliers, in coordination with Internal Customers.
  • Leading the annual evaluation of the supplier through the SED process, with internal customers, and defining the action plan.
  • Working in coordination with the dedicated Airbus Safran Launchers Commodity Manager.
  • Validating Purchase Orders in SAP.
  • Participating in the development review process.
  • Being in charge of escalating issues to the supplier when required, in coordination with the team & the Supply Chain Organisation.

Preparation for the future

The upstream development activities have a high impact on the way of working with a supplier for the future Programmes.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • 5-year degree level
  • At least 5 years of work experience in Sales/Marketing/Procurement
  • Experience in Contracts and the negotiation of contractual clauses
  • SAP knowledge would be a plus
  • Advanced level of English.
