Tasks
- Act as the focal point within the department for procurement-wide project activities.
- Engage in the regular business processes of strategic procurement, e.g. for operations planning, price updating, etc.
- Identify process improvement needs and run associated improvement projects.
- Create a reporting system accounting for the campaign-driven business in the Mission Systems & Weapons perimeter.
- Take over special procurement activities, e.g. for research and development projects.
- Contribute to sourcing activities, incl. the support of tendering and the contract negotiation to achieve the best purchasing conditions in accordance with company requirements.
- Monitor contracts (during innovation, development, serial and support phases) with suppliers and company stakeholders to achieve through out the contract life cycle a complete application of terms and conditions to ensure that the suppliers deliver the expected performance in all dimensions (logistics, support, quality, cost, ...).
- Support the day-to-day relationships with suppliers and run projects to optimize customer value, while minimizing total cost of ownership & risks.
- Support establishment und updating of the product and sourcing strategies within the multi-functional teams of the Mission Systems & Weapons perimeter.
- This role will involve some travel for business approximately once a month in Europe and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
Profil
- Educated to master's degree level (or equivalent) in engineering, economics, business administration, procurement, law or an equivalent field of study.
- First practical experience in procurement, project and contract management, business and financial management, sales , etc. (apprenticeships and internships included)
- Technical understanding and knowledge of the aeronautics business are a plus
- Experience in working with international partners
- Agile use of IT tools: SAP, MS Office / Google Suite, etc.
- High social competencies, team, and communication skills
- Proactive, persistent and logical approach to new challenges
- Language Skills: Negotiation level of English; French and German are a plus.
