Your tasks and responsibilities

• Leadership and Management of Innovation and Digitalization projects in order to cover the technological needs of legacy and future programs in Manching and other sites
• Industrial technology research, rating and selection in accordance with program needs and legal requirements
• Contribution to manufacturing and service cluster for digitalization for legacy programs Eurofighter MRO, Eurofighter CFE (Centre Fuse Equipping), Eurofighter FAL, A400M MRO, MRO Classic
• Contribution to manufacturing and service cluster for future programs Eurodrone and Future Combat Air System (FCAS)
• Alignment with the Operations Strategy and previous financial feasibility studies to ensure accordance to the official regulations and the targeted efficiency of projects
• Identification of similar approaches from other plants and merging projects to one single transversal initiative in terms of innovating industrial processes
• Analysis of existing and new manufacturing processes, digital tools, systems and interfaces as well as documenting the gaps existing among them all
• Supporting and driving the cultural change within Airbus Defence and Space with knowledge sharing through lessons learned while participating to work in agile teams
• Defining, describing, running and supporting several Proof of Concepts (PoC) to evaluate thoroughly the digital tools using a testing environment

Desired skills and qualifications

• Bachelor's/ Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace, or the German academic degree “Diplom-Ingenieur”
• Working background in the aerospace industry and experience in Manufacturing Engineering processes
• Project Management skills and business administration knowledge
• Experience in agile product development and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be considered plus
• Affine to technology, technology improvement and digitalization, for example with experience of Dassault Systems Applications (e.g. Catia V5, Catia V6, Aprisio, 3DX)
• Well-versed in stakeholder management
• Open minded for collaborative ways of working in a transnational and transcultural business environment
• Good analytical skills as well as interpersonal and communication skills are a prerequisite
• Fluent in German and English written and spoken in order to able to negotiate with self-confidence
• Spanish is considered a plus
