Mission

  • Co-Lead the global supply strategy for Active Ingredients in order to ensure timely supply of AIs through the development and communication of coherent short term, mid-term and long term supply and demand analyses, both internally as well as externally such as Bayer and other AI suppliers.
  • Manage the right phasing, ordering quantities and inventory levels for active ingredients, based on elements such as supply capacity, production planning, supply constraints, best estimates and upside potentials, as well as instant changes in demand.

Key tasks & responsibilities

  • Lead for a given portfolio, the global supply strategy for Active Ingredients in order to ensure timely supply of AI’s through the development and communication of coherent short term, mid-term and long term supply and demand analyses, both internally as well as externally such as Bayer and other AI suppliers.
  • Determine the right phasing, ordering quantities and inventory levels for active ingredients, based on elements such as supply capacity, production planning, supply constraints, best estimates and upside potentials, as well as instant changes in demand :
  • Mitigate risks related to the supply of AI’s by having a risk mitigation plans not only for the AI’s but also for the associated intermediates and key raw materials.
  • Have 1–3-year outlook of the demand in order to distinguish the ‘best estimate’ from the ‘upside potential’.
  • Development of insight in the evolution of the demand for AI’s (up to 10 years) which take into account the deviation in demand from innovation projects, product launches, customer demand as well as the possible cannibalization from competing AI’s and market & regulatory trends.
  • Development of insights in the supply chain bottlenecks that impact availability, flexibility in supply and costs.
  • Lead the ES global Demand Planning Process for AI’s(aggregate, segment, analyze forecasts, historical data, sales, inventories, key market events and trends) and recommend AI requirements.
  • Co-lead the Global S&OP process for AI’s.
  • Lead and implement cross functional projects to optimize the supply chain for AI’s and coordinate Global AI projects,
  • related but not limited to :

    • New product launches
    • Portfolio harmonization
    • Supply flow improvements
    • Changes in source and regulatory environment
  • Support procurement by providing long term forecasts for ES specific AI’s to be used for negotiations.

  • Provide recommendations for AI allocation to Global Marketing/Regional Heads during shortage situations.

  • Support countries and regions with midand long-term planning AI requirements which also to optimize supply availability and inventories.

Qualifications & competencies

  • Superior Degree on Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent, MBA or master's in supply chain management.
  • APICS certification is a plus.
  • 5+ years cumulative experience in Global Supply Chain Management with international experience.
  • Key competencies | Analytical, Organized and structured, Excellent communication and collaboration skills, Managing Ambiguity, Dealing with conflicts, Influencing
  • At ease with managing and analyzing large sets of data in various forms and formats.
  • Fluent in English other languages is a plus.
