Description

A vacancy for a Legal Council (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Safran Launchers GmbH in Bremen. The successful applicant will join “Legal Germany”. Reporting to the Head of Legal Germany, the lawyer will be a key member of the Airbus Safran Launchers legal team assuming responsibility for national and international contracts and is based in Bremen. You will be in charge of monitoring the legal activities for Airbus Safran Launchers BU with respect to German and International business law in the frame of space activities.

The position is based in Germany but implies, at a national and international level, to work in close collaboration with various specialists in various locations (such as representatives of finance, accounting, tax, M&A, antitrust, HR, etc. based in shareholders HQs, Division, Business Units), with sometimes external advisors and to provide value-added legal advice to the Airbus Safran Launchers operational teams.

Please note that this contract is a 1 year fixed-term contract.

Your tasks

  • Drafting and analysing all types of contracts placed by national / international space public entities and industrialists. This
  • includes prime contracts, derived subcontracts, engineering and construction contracts, NDA, teaming agreements,
  • cooperation agreements, ...
  • Supporting to the negotiation team as from the elaboration of the proposals, to the negotiation and the implementation of the
  • contracts
  • Proactively contributing to the mitigation of Airbus Safran Launchers' risks by alerting on potential risks and elaborating
  • alternative proposals
  • Contributing in developing legal awareness of Airbus Safran Launchers people
  • Assessment and reduction of litigation risks as much as possible by providing legal advice on potential or on-going litigation
  • The post carries a significant degree of autonomy and the candidate must be able to demonstrate the appropriate level of initiative, credibility and self-confidence, whilst maintaining an effective and permanent reporting channel within Legal Department.

Profil

  • Either fully qualified Attorney at Law in Germany (Volljurist); or degree as Bachelor / Master of Business Law (Diplom-Jurist/
  • Wirtschaftsjurist)
  • Commercial law generalist with a sound background in contracts law
  • First practical experience either in-house or at a reputable law firm, preferred are at least 2 years of focused on commercial
  • /international contracts law
  • Result and team oriented and able to work in an international, multi-cultural, fast moving and complex/technical environment
  • Good understanding of complex economic matters and commercial requirements and provides timely, concise and
  • business-focused legal advice
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and will take ownership of projects and tasks
  • Thinks creatively with strong problem solving skills
  • Is comfortable with gray areas as well as interpreting and applying the law in unsettled contexts or in the ambit of a foreign
  • jurisdiction
  • Speaks German and English fluently, can draft legal documents in both languages; preferred are additional skills in French
  • language
