Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a robust global export control programme, ensuring compliance across all countries where Satair operates.
- Lead a global team of nine export control specialists located in Germany, Denmark, Singapore, and the US.
- Advise Satair and Airbus leadership on relevant export compliance issues and report any non-compliance matters to the Satair Leadership Team (including the CEO & COO) and Airbus Group.
- Provide expert guidance and training to ensure full adherence to export regulations across all teams.
- Act as the primary consultant to management on export control matters and support operational teams in day-to-day compliance.
- Proactively integrate export control considerations into business decisions to address legal requirements at an early stage.
- Oversee internal audits, drive continuous improvement, and manage regular reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) to Satair's management and Airbus.
Your Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience in export control management, with in-depth knowledge of US (ITAR/EAR) and European regulations.
- Proven leadership skills with a talent for team development, strategic thinking, and clear communication.
- A goal-oriented and proactive mindset with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong familiarity with operations and customer support processes in a global business.
- The ability to review, correct, and recommend changes to official government documentation and company reports.
- A solid understanding of related regulations, including trade controls, sanctions, and embargoes, as well as the implications of employing foreign nationals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Full professional proficiency in both written and spoken English.
