Role & Responsabilities

For a portfolio of +4 active substances (fungicides and herbicides), the GRM insures efficient decision making in Environmental Science project teams on project development as well as product marketing based on existing and future regulatory possibilities Cand constrains worldwide. The GRM ensures that active ingredient policies are developed, targeted at the alignment between safe use patterns and actual use (product stewardship) to sustain existing business.

  • For the projects and active ingredients within his/her area of responsibility, effectively manage the setting of regulatory strategy, active ingredient defense strategies and product stewardship policies.
  • Support Regional Regulatory Managers in the preparation of registration dossiers for active ingredients and lead formulations
  • Provide active ingredient specific regulatory expertise andsupport to the project management and Market Segment leaders
  • Ensure that product specific policies are developed, targeted at the alignment between safe use patterns and actual use (product stewardship) to sustain existing business

Profil

Regulatory Affairs is a critical function in achieving shortest Time to Market and shaping the reputation of the company in the scientific and political environment.

Therefore the Environmental Science GRM position requires :

  • Advanced degree in agricultural science, chemistry or a biological subject area with at least 5 years experience in the pesticide industry.
  • Leadership, networking, interpersonal skills, commercial awareness and the ability to work in a multi-functional environment as a team player.
  • Well organised, good planner and communicator, able to understand, influence and motivate people in projects both within and external to Bayer ES.
  • Expertise in regulatory affairs and good understanding of the processes and scientific domains of Research and Development, of Project and Process management.
  • Diplomacy paired with the ability to negotiate, patience and persistence to deal effectively with all types of personalities, governmental bureaucracies and cultural differences
