Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF)

Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) acts exclusively in the public interest. Our aim is to protect financial consumers and to promote fairness, transparency and security within the financial sector, one of the main pillars of the Luxembourg economy.

The CSSF is also distinguished by its strong involvement at European and international level. Our staff actively participate in working groups set up by international institutions and work closely with other European authorities, with the shared aim of promoting financial stability at European and international level.

Tasks

  • Assisting in monitoring innovation and new technology business models
  • Providing support and guidance to financial innovation and new technology stakeholders
  • Preparing and participating in interviews with financial innovation and new technology stakeholders
  • Assisting in coordination of cross-cutting files
  • Monitoring and analyzing developments in financial innovation and new technologies, including regulatory developments; centralizing and documenting these developments
  • Formalizing research on financial innovation and new technologies
  • Drafting notes, analyses, reports, and other internal or external communications related to financial innovation and new technologies (e.g. position papers, internal publications for educational purposes, etc.)
  • Participating in the review and, where applicable, drafting of regulatory texts on financial innovation and new technologies
  • Participating in national and/or international working groups on financial innovation and new technologies
  • Communicating, collaborating, and supporting other CSSF services on financial innovation and new financial technologies.

Profile

  • University degree (BAC+3/+4/+5) in finance, economics or related disciplines
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in the above-mentioned fields
  • Strong knowledge of financial innovation and new technologies
  • Perfect command of French and English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in German and/or Luxembourgish is a strong advantage
  • Demonstrated interest in the subject
  • Good knowledge of modern communication tools
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Discretion, flexibility, creativity and initiative
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team, with a natural willingness to exchange and share information and knowledge
  • Availability to participate in missions in Luxembourg and abroad when required.
