Director Structured Finance - EMEA Region (m/f), Berlin

For our headquarters in Berlin or for our site in Zurich (Switzerland), we are currently looking to recruit a Director Structured Finance (m/f). We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, multi-skilled personality with sophisticated financial structuring skills and proven negotiation skills of financial contracts in minimum two languages. Working with colleagues from other divisions, you will manage the financial requirements of given projects from the pre-bid stage to financial closing. In respect of projects being pursued by Bombardier Transportation, this will involve the ability to deliver a competitive finance proposal of exceptional quality, well presented and easy to evaluate. Our projects require a wide variety of potential finance solutions.

Your tasks

• Evaluating and negotiating of loan, concession, leasing and project finance agreements; commercial documentation and preparing of presentations for internal and external reviews.
• Preparing financial pre-feasibility assessments and developing detailed project finance models, lease models, credit analyses and project risks analyses eligible for the transportation sector.
• Adjusting financial plans to the project schedule as well as commercial terms and creating of individual payment regimes.
• Reviewing tender documents, evaluating financing requirements and preparing competitive financial proposals; this also includes risk assessment evaluation, quantification and the development of financing programs to enhance the marketability of assets.
• Liaising with internal and external accounting, tax, legal, technical and commercial specialists.
• Preparing of regular reports.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Economics, Law, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and outstanding negotiation and financial structuring skills.
• Proven dealmaker with hands-on closing experience.
• 10 years of professional experience in financial structuring /investment, ideally in a large international company or financial institution. A background in rail transportation or aerospace industries would be beneficial.
• Experience in preparing complex financial proposals including taking into consideration legal, tax, ownership, technical and commercial aspects.
• Experience with public private partnerships or concession type projects.
• Fluent in English and French or Italian; both spoken and written. The ability to negotiate in French or Italian. Spanish would be beneficial.
• The ability to travel.
