Description

A vacancy for a Commercial Officer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space
in Munich. The successful applicant will join “TCSMC - Contracts & Commercial”.

Your tasks

  • Provide support to the C&C Manager and C&C team in all contractual/commercial issues raised by the Sales and Delivery teams including the preparation, negotiation and execution of German MoD/MoI contracts and all other commercial contractual agreements
  • Under guidance and working with the Bid Manager manage and implement responses and actions to address commercial/contractual matters during the bid phase if required
  • In close cooperation with Supply Chain Management and procurement team: support preparation of RFPs to potential subcontractors/suppliers, ensuring maximum flow down of the prime contract terms and ongoing compliance with contractual requirements
  • Provide guidance, support and advice to the project team to enable them to meet the company process and procedures including Gate Reviews and RMC/vetting, and compliance with contractual terms throughout contract duration
  • Responsible for ensuring that all commercial/contractual risks are reported and managed with the respective internal functions and/or management
  • This role will involve frequent travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.

Profil

  • Master degree in international Business and/or law
  • Experience in the review, drafting and negotiation of contracts with the German Government within an international environment and a detailed understanding of legal implications
  • Background in regulatory and public procurement with experience in negotiating contracts with German public entities would be an asset
  • Good negotiation and persuasion skills towards internal and external customers as well as excellent inter-personal, communication, organizational and analytical skills
  • Team player/ flexible/ and transparent with colleagues, prepared to undertake a demanding and varied workload, and able to work efficiently in order to meet demanding deadlines
  • Proactive and creative, in the sense of being able to anticipate problems and propose and implement pragmatic solutions to prevent or remedy such problems,
  • Proven experience in an international organisation (excluding training periods)
  • Excellent professional English (working language is English), fluent in German, other languages would be a plus
