Mission

Being a Category management and accountability for sourcing and supplier management activities on a global scale within the area of Transportation and Warehousing

Key tasks & responsibilities:

• Manage strategic procurement activities within the respective categories globally
• Identify & build efficient partnerships with internal business partners across the organization to align goals, strategies and identify process optimization potentials
• Develop, plan & implement global/regional category strategies & procurement sourcing initiatives including efficiency gain
• Delivery against key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as well as metrics for the specific sourcing category
• Drive global initiatives with key suppliers to reduce cost via continuous improvement, as well as supply chain optimization
• Responsible for supplier analysis, supplier management (incl. clustering of suppliers, development of strategic relationships, risk assessment and capability / performance evaluation) and supplier selection within the respective category
• Develop & negotiate contracts with worldwide 3PL provider
• Support Sustainability program

Qualifications & competencies

• BA/BS or MBA/MS degree required
• Fully proficient in English is required; other language skills preferred.
• 5-7 a procurement experience in Sourcing of Directs, with 2-3 a background in sourcing of transport & warehousing or supply chain background
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, influencing & problem-solving skills
• Demonstration of ability to lead in times of change with a strategic mindset
• Ability/experience to lead category in a global procurement network
• Ability to Drive Innovation, continuous improvement and implement sustainability targets with suppliers
