Missions

The Category Manager Senior contributes to the development of the Trade Marketing Strategy to achieve defined business objectives across all product categories.

In charge of Trade Marketing specific pillars, she / he is responsible for leading efforts and deliver tools and information needed to leverage our Brands positioning and solidify the company's superiority through our customers and their POS.

Key tasks & responsibilities :

Within her/his field of responsibility :

  • Deliver Market, Categories and Brands analysis & recommendations to optimize Marketing strategic plans.
  • Responsible for Category Management analysis, process & solutions with consumers and customers to grow the categories.
  • Define with her / his team, planning & budgeting, production and implementation of all in store activities and recommendations, including merchandising, assortment, promotion, point of sales materials, and training.
  • Collaborates with Strategic Insights resource to read and report results of activities and to provide ROI, recommendations and Kpi’s.
  • Collaborates with sales teams to turn the "selling stories" into sales tools to effectively present the brands, the products and the marketing initiatives to the customers.
  • Supervise and lead her/his team to deliver effective execution of Trade Marketing and Category Management commitments calendar.
  • Provide coaching to develop the functional competency for effective execution of all Pull/Push initiatives.
  • Ensures efficient management of her/ his allocated budget and supervises the trade marketing spending in the activities under her/his responsibility.

Qualifications & competencies

  • Higher education, preferably University Degree (in Business related qualification).
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in OTC and/or FMCG industry.
  • Strategic thinking with a comprehensive category and retail customer knowledge are essential. Marketing, Sales experience are of advantage.
  • Capability in building strategic, multilevel and teamwork relationship.
  • Decision making oriented & able to quickly react to changing environment.
  • Used to interpreting data and driving value adding insights.
  • Must have excellent customer management and networking skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Leadership and Team Management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capability to adapt to audience specifics.
  • Engaged and with structured and strong communication skills.
  • English is necessary.
