Your main tasks and responsibilities

  • Responsible for the evaluation and analysis of technology trends. You will create the definition of all system requirements, planning and creation of technical system specifications for Ventilation
  • Elaborate trade studies, the definition of system architectures and concepts as well as cooperate in the selection of aircraft system manufacturers
  • Monitor the timely implementation/fulfillment of the system requirements at the equipment/system supplier by performing both reviews and audits
  • Supporting the continuous development of risk analysis and minimization
  • Validate and monitor the qualification and verification of tests at the manufacturer
  • Define laboratory, ground and flight tests, evaluate the test results and derive system improvements
  • Responsible for the preparation of documents for the approval of the system
  • Evaluate the system behavior in service, analysis of occurring malfunction and creation of suggestions for the modification of the system to improve operational reliability
  • Supporting and monitoring the subcontractors
  • You will be System responsible (Level 1) and therefore you are in contact with Production, Customer Service, Procurement, Suppliers, Customer, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and Configuration Management
  • Support our Customer (Airlines) with in-service issues and will provide onsite assistance if required
  • Work together with our international Suppliers and manage several different developments

Your profile

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Skills on heat transfer & thermodynamics
  • Studies, knowledge in System Engineering in direction of Controls and fluid dynamics
  • You have the ownership to lead and guide topics until the end (Project Management)
  • Focused on the customer to deliver in time, on cost and quality
  • Able to handle complex topics with quick response time
  • Several years experience with technical circumstances
  • You are an open minded person – not afraid to speak up and state clearly your point of view
  • Experiences in the engineering department / working with engineers
  • Professional network within the domain of expertise or be able to quickly build it
  • English is fluent and it would be a benefit if you can speak German or French
  • Project Management experience
  • Knowledge in fluid simulation
  • Experience in equipment development
  • Experience of working in an international context.
