Missions

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

• Manage client requests for Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation and questionnaires, as well as other tasks related to anti-money laundering (AML) controls.
• Develop a schedule for portfolio due diligence checks and collaborate with underwriters to ensure timely updates in accordance with policy deadlines. This includes reviewing International Sanctions, embargoes, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria, and AML compliance, and making referrals to global teams when needed.
• Contribute to regular reporting to internal stakeholders, including the Legal & Compliance department, to keep them informed of compliance activities.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure data quality in compliance-related documentation.
• Assist in preparing portfolio business renewals by analyzing claims statistics, assessing reputation risks, reviewing sanctions compliance, and evaluating anti-money laundering measures. - Coordinate closely with underwriters during this process.
• Enter relevant cases and data into various tools or systems as required for compliance purposes.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with the Claims and Operations departments to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance-related matters.

Profile

• Demonstrated interest in the fields of control and compliance as well as underwriting.
• Proficient knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks related to compliance.
• Experience in conducting research and performing data analysis. -Proficiency in using office automation and computer tools.
• Strong ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across functions.
• Excellent communication skills, including a sense of dialogue and proactivity when interacting and collaborating with colleagues.
• Ability to synthesize information and adapt to evolving situations.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and French is required for this position.
• A willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role and the broader organization is expected.
