V.I.E. Systems Engineer, Hamburg

Mission

The mission of the Flight Recording Group within the Avionics and Electrics domain is to specify, integrate and support Flight Data Recording Systems for all Airbus programs. For preparing the future recording system, the group runs research and technology (R&T) projects.

Your main task will be to actively support these R&T projects. In particular this means, analysing the feasibility and performance potential of new technology concepts, managing the evolution of new technology concepts to higher maturity levels and carrying out necessary project administration tasks.
You will regularly communicate with other departments / universities / companies on technical issues and you will present the concepts, issues and solutions in written reports and in meetings.

You will find a highly motivated team of professional engineers in the group and you will directly work with the R&T project leader.

Profile

We are looking for candidates with the following skills:

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
• Previous experience and analytical capabilities in a technical area (aeronautic, electrical, mechanical)
• System technology engineering capabilities are appreciated
• Open minded and ability to express yourself in a professional communication style within a transnational environment
• Self-dependent way of working
• Ability to describe complex technical subjects in a way understandable for non-experts
• Fluency in English; German language skills would be a plus
