V.I.E. Investment capital analyst, Munich

XAnge Private Equity is a leading European venture capital management company specialized in the field of information and communication technologies, media, core technologies, postal related business and clean tech, with headquarters in Paris and a German branch based in Munich. Backed by leading European companies and financial institutions, XAnge is a unique private equity firm sponsored by La Banque Postale, one of the largest retail banks in France and fully owned subsidiary of La Poste. The firm currently has approx. € 350 Mio. under management.

We are searching for a VIE to join our Munich team. In that role he/she will work closely with the General Manager of the Munich branch but also with all partners of XAnge. This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual who wants to gain direct exposure to the venture capital industry in Germany and Europe, entrepreneurs, high-growth start-up companies, innovative business ideas and be involved in all aspects of the venture capital investment process.

The position is located in Munich and for a duration of at least 12 months.

Requirements

• Engineering or computer science background, with a proven understanding of ICT industries
• A very good command of German and a good command of English. Ability to read complex business and technical documents and conduct advanced negotiations in German
• Commercial & financial skills, via one of the following:
• Training in financial analysis
• Private Equity/Venture Capital exposure
• Investment Banking, M&A advisory or financial audit
• Commercial experience, sales, marketing or business development
• Strong analytic skills, attention to details, flexibility, excellent communication
• An entrepreneurial and self starter attitude is a must

Knowledge of the Cleantech area and/or a start-up experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and tracking of investment opportunities
• Analyze and review investments cases
• Conduct financial, technical, market and business due diligence on potential investments
• Market and company research
• Preparation of investment proposals
• Organization of local infrastructure, reporting and office setup
• Linking of the German with the French office on a day to day basis
• Be an integral part of the growth and success of the German operations of XAnge Private Equity
• Proactively build a solid business relationship with non-German teams
