Systems Engineer Situational Awareness / Optronics (m/f), Marseille

Your responsibilities

• Evaluation and validation of the development, integration and certification of Optronic Systems on civil and military helicopters (e.g. Augmented Reality Systems, Enhanced Vision Systems, Electro Optical Systems)
• Technical responsibility for the integration of Optronic Systems into complex H/C avionics
• Benchmarking of novel optronic technologies and applications (e.g. in the field of augmented reality, laser technology, image processing)
• Active contribution to definition and execution of research and technology (R&T) activities and optronics product strategy
• Definition and implementation of operational concepts and use cases for Optronic Systems
• Interface with project management, engineering departments, purchasing and sales departments of the various H/C programs
• Supplier management and development for different Optronics suppliers
• Planning and monitoring of development and qualification activities at equipment level
• Ensure qualification and certification of Optronic equipment and associated functions
• Technical responsibility for offers to internal and external customers
• Application of guidelines and standards

Required skills

• Educated to 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in the field of Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar
• Experience in the design, development and/or integration of Avionic Systems (e.g. on system or equipment level)
• Experience and knowledge in systems engineering, integration and testing especially in the field of Optronics, as well as avionics or avionics equipment
• Knowledge in the domain of avionic system development
• Good team player capable of cooperating in a transnational department
• Good communication skills and high-level of assertiveness
• High sense of responsibility
• French / English: negotiation Level / business fluent
• German is an advantage
