Senior Buyer In Flight Connectivity (m/wfd), Toulouse

Tasks

• Define and execute procurement strategies for in-flight connectivity systems, aligning with AIRBUS's overall business objectives and technology roadmap.
• Lead the entire procurement cycle, from market analysis and tender processes to contract negotiation (pricing, IP rights, SLAs) and ongoing supplier relationship management.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, design, legal, and program teams to integrate procurement activities seamlessly into project timelines.
• Monitor market trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to identify new opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including cost reduction, process optimization, and resolving complex supplier claims or disputes.

Profile

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic procurement, with a focus on complex technical systems (aerospace or telecommunications industry preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of in-flight connectivity technologies (satellite communication, air-to-ground systems, Wi-Fi, hardware/software).
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation, supplier management, and proficiency with procurement software/ERP (e.g., SAP).
• Negotiation level in English; proficiency in French or German is a plus.
