Your main tasks

• Press spokesperson function for the Defence sector
• Develop and implement creative media campaigns for Airbus Defence and Space products, programmes, sales campaigns and sites
• Crisis management in case of media-related crisis situations for the company
• Professional contact with journalists and their working environment
• This role requires frequent business trips at home and abroad. Appropriate willingness to travel is assumed. The assumption of ad-hoc tasks outside core working hours is also expected.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• You have a degree in communication, journalism, business administration or equivalent
• Experience with military programs is an advantage
• You have a strong knowledge of the international defence industry, its products and the corresponding political environment.
• You have a high level of expertise in the fields of press work and journalism
• You have several years of professional experience with an international orientation
• You have a high degree of responsibility
• You are characterized by extreme team spirit even under stressful conditions
• You are well versed in dealing with journalists and their working environment
• You have good communication skills and know how to communicate with different stakeholders and across all hierarchy levels
• You have excellent verbal and written expression.
• You have an excellent network of national and international media representatives at your disposal
• Absolute resilience and ability to work quickly and accurately in an international team
• You are fluent in German and English, advanced knowledge of French and Spanish is desirable
