The mission of the thermal systems business group is to develop and manufacture systems, modules and components to ensure thermal energy management of the power train and comfort for each passenger, during all phases of vehicle use. These systems help to significantly reduce fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and other pollutants and harmful particles from vehicles equipped with internal combustion engines. They also increase travel range and battery life for hybrid and electric vehicles. At the Front Office in Bietigheim-Bissingen we are supporting Sale- and Project activities and compose the interface between the customers Daimler and Valeo-internal departments at the development from Thermal Systems.

Tasks

  • Closing: steer the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of the product line’s financial reports and indicators (5 Axes indicators, Gross margin, CAPEX etc ...), monthly result presentations, forecasting, and ad hoc variance analysis based on Valeo reporting tools
  • MTP/Budget: Contribute to the product line’s financial planning by collaborating with the finance team and the operational departments to develop and monitor mid-term financial plans, budgets, and projections. Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations anchored in financial analysis.
  • Serve as the link between Product Line management (PL Director, PL Industrial Director, PL Purchasing Director...) and global production site Financial Controllers (7 sites: Rio Bravo MX, Nogent FR, Wemding DE, Rakovnik CZ, Shenzhen CN; Sanand IN, Daegu KOR, and one logistic platform: Winchester US)
  • Contribute to the inflation and customer passthrough process through close collaboration with the purchasing & sales networks
  • Provide meaningful gap analysis and drive action plans on a variety of subjects (Gross margin & fixed costs analysis, impact of volume fluctuations, foreign currency exposure, etc ...) with operations
  • Follow overdues with the sites
  • Follow internal control progress

Profile

  • Master’s degree in Finance/Controlling,
  • Minimum two years’ experience
  • Autonomous and able to propose solutions
  • Analytical skills and ability to solve issues
  • You’re open minded and have a positive attitude towards challenges as well as versatile communication style
  • Ability to work with other networks : industrial director, site general managers, site financial controllers…
  • Results-oriented team player
  • Professional level in English, German would be a plus
