Lead Systems Engineer for ORION ESM (m/f), Bremen

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Acting as project technical authority during life cycle of the project
• Technical responsibility for producing the system logical and physical architecture
• Ensuring its consistency through design, integration and validation
• Anticipating and managing transversal technical and business issues, arbitrate between solutions considering all aspects: reusability, optimisation, opportunity, schedule, quality, cost, risks, safety and performance
• This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

• Founded experience in space infrastructure phase C/D projects at prime level
• Deep knowledge in Project Management or PM-related experience such as procurement or PMO functions
• Having worked in challenging environment as major recovery projects.
• Experience with ESA and NASA (esp. Human Spaceflight), or other space agencies governmental agencies are highly appreciated
• Experience in team leadership
• Agility with regard to new project situations
• Consider technology (quality) + schedule + budget in his daily actions
• English fluent
• This role will involve frequent travel for business (worldwide) and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
