Business development manager (m/f/d), Bad Neustadt


The mission of the thermal systems business group is to develop and manufacture systems, modules and components to ensure thermal energy management of the power train and comfort for each passenger, during all phases of vehicle use. These systems help to significantly reduce fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and other pollutants and harmful particles from vehicles equipped with internal combustion engines. They also increase travel range and battery life for hybrid and electric vehicles. At the Front Office in Bietigheim-Bissingen we are supporting Sale- and Project activities and compose the interface between the customers Daimler and Valeo-internal departments at the development from Thermal Systems.

Your new field of activity


  • Contribute to the definition of sales objectives and new projects for eMotor Cluster

    • Building and achieving the Order Intake (OI) target of eMotor cluster
    • Identify and propose targets, build and get a decision on New Project Approvals together with the Key Account Manager (if any)
    • Ensure alignment between TDP and customer product/technology roadmap
  • Ensure the right offers to the client, working closely with Project Management (PM)/R&D

    • Liaise with Projects Managers /R&D team(s) to define the right offer and support to customer RFQs
    • Take all possible steps with PM/ R&D and Sales to offer a technical solution matching the specifications and economically competitive
    • Take the lead to meet specifications at targeted price.
    • Train the local sales team to the products
  • Support the OI budget & Mid Term Plan (MTP) process of the Product Group.

    • Work together with the Product Group Business Development and the team to make sure that the right Product development targets ( P2s ) in the Cluster are budgeted and part of the MTP

Your qualifications

  • Engineering Master Degree
  • Many years of professional experience in product development
  • First management experience ideally
  • Fluent english
  • German language skills are an advantage
