Tasks

• convince major battery suppliers to develop the right technologies for our needs
• assess the robustness solutions proposed by our suppliers as an expert
• assess the supplier production capability
• develop the academic network in order to select the future promising technologies
• ensure the battery validation strategy within Airbus, by the laboratory for emerging technologies and by the suppliers for the selected products
• ensure the performances taking into account all aeronautic constraints such as environmental, aircraft cycle, maintenance and airline operations
• The successful candidate will work closely with aeronautic specialists in charge the system developments.

Required skills

• Educated to master degree level (or equivalent) in chemistry or a related discipline.
• About 10 years of experience in energy storage technologies, with technical experiences in battery cell development and battery integration.
• Experiences in battery cell design with a battery supplier or with automotive manufacturer or equivalent.
• Good communication skills
• Good synthetical skills
• Ability to be part of a team
• Rigorous
• An advanced level of English
• French and/or German would be a plus
