Tasks

  • Assisting in the origination of LBOs, refinancings, recapitalizations, and other event-driven financing deals for Leveraged Finance clients across various debt products
  • Tracking macroeconomic and debt market developments, specifically monitoring TLB and HYB activity
  • Actively support the day-to-day execution of Leveraged Finance deals, including both TLB and HYB mandates, from inception to closing
  • Building and analyzing financial models (P&L, Cash Flow, Balance Sheet), including adjustments for the assessment of potential external rating impacts
  • Contributing to the internal credit approval process, including credit memos write-up
  • Managing transactions post-closing and dedicated portfolio management activity (Annual Reviews, Quarterly Reviews, Waiver Requests and Restructurings)
  • Ensuring data quality under your control/responsibility
  • Supporting the overall strategy of the Leveraged Finance department and promoting a positive team spirit and collaboration within the team and across teams

Profile

  • A degree from a university with an excellent academic record; or equivalent work experience
  • Previous experience within a top-tier investment bank and in a similar/related business area
  • Sound working knowledge of the TLB and HYB markets
  • Strong credit analysis and financial modelling skills, with an ability to carry out tasks with a large amount of independence
  • Analytical mind-set with good awareness of credit and capital market risks
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Client focused and result-driven working style
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Full professional fluency in English and German
