Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF)

Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) acts exclusively in the public interest. Our aim is to protect financial consumers and to promote fairness, transparency and security within the financial sector, one of the main pillars of the Luxembourg economy.

The CSSF is also distinguished by its strong involvement at European and international level. Our staff actively participate in working groups set up by international institutions and work closely with other European authorities, with the shared aim of promoting financial stability at European and international level.

Tasks

  • Contributes to the organization’s AI vision, in line with IT strategic priorities and business needs
  • Develops and maintains a roadmap for the evolution of the AI solution and ecosystem, identifying priorities, dependencies, and innovation opportunities
  • Manages AI projects, ensuring their functional, technical, and organizational coherence
  • Coordinates and brings together the teams involved in AI projects, fostering collaboration between technical and business experts
  • Actively monitors technological developments, new models, tools, architectures, and AI use cases in order to anticipate the necessary evolution of the solution.

Profile

  • University degree (Master’s degree / Bac+5 or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI concepts and technologies, particularly LLMs
  • Good understanding of modern AI architectures : RAG, agents, embeddings, vector databases, fine-tuning, orchestration, etc.
  • Ability to design and challenge AI solution architectures
  • Good understanding of issues related to data, APIs, integration, performance, scalability, and cost management
  • Good software development knowledge, enabling effective communication with technical teams
  • Strong understanding of security, data protection, governance, quality, and compliance requirements as applied to AI
  • Ability to actively monitor technological developments and rapidly assess the relevance of new AI technologies for the organization
  • Fluent in French and English; knowledge of Luxembourgish and/or German is considered an asset
  • Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams involved in AI projects
  • Excellent communication, simplification, and presentation skills, enabling effective interaction with both technical and business teams
  • Ability to promote a vision, bring stakeholders together, and secure buy-in around AI priorities
  • Autonomy, rigor, and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Experience managing a portfolio of AI projects.
