Within Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in Frankfurt, integrate our Global Finance offer (GLFI), for a VIE.

You will be part of the team Project and Structured Finance, where you will be daily in contact with Infrastructure and Asset-based Finance front/middle offices located in Paris and London; together in close collaboration with the German public sector coverage department.
The team's market scope encompasses infrastructure projects in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Europe to the extent German sponsors are involved.

Your role

During your VIE, you will achieve the following assignments:

1. Analyse, store and process market information to provide the origination desk with market intelligence, as well as market publications:

• Conduct regular market researches and produce deepened sectorial analysis through both internal and external documentation
• Provide the desk with deal prospects by monitoring public and private tenders
• Press review and collection of press releases

2. Help senior originators in producing the proposals to clients, involving from market information research to writing any commercial material which is to be distributed to the client:

• Pitch-book redaction using self-produced market intelligence
• Assistance in the cross-disciplinary collaboration with other business-lines involved in the transaction
• Keep the proposals updated with the continuous financial market developments and macro economic circumstances

3. Understand and analyse the client issues as well as the client credit stories in order to jointly develop the business

4. Assist the origination team in the structuring of the financial offer, and in the processing of project documentation:

Survey of the Project's due diligences (on a legal, technical, insurance or economical basis) so as to screen the project's underlying risks as well as the financial modeling set-up
Help the team in the delivery of term sheets and credit approval
Hold a day-by-day agenda conveying priorities and tasks available for the whole team

5. Support on internal reporting and evaluation of transactions and work in close collaboration with the coverage credit team:

• Counterparty registration in internal tools (respect of the established KYC prudential procedures)
• Evaluation and pricing of the financial transaction in utilizing ratios and software applications taking into account Basel II indicators and funding costs
• Act as an interlocutor with the credit analyst department and assist them in providing internal financial ratings on the projects sponsors
• Deals follow-up and profitability calculation in monthly dashboards
• Support internal reporting

Your profile

• Graduate from University or Business/Engineering school, with major Accounting/Finance, you ideally have strong numerical and financial modelling skills.
• You have had a previous experience in Finance, in Corporate banking, credit analysis or/and financial structuring.
• You are fluent in English and German. You are conversant with MS Office.

• Open-minded, with good analytical skills, you are able to synthesise project documentation and screen any risks or potential financial constraints.
• Organized and quality-oriented, you are autonomous, able to deliver reports and information on-time.
• Moreover, your good communication skills, as well as your ability to process diverse issues in the same time, will be essential in this VIE.
