You are fluent in German and are eager to acquire a first experience in Germany?

Within Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking (SGCIB), you will join as a VIE the Corporate & Institutions (CORI) department in the Corporate and Credit Group, in Frankfurt.

Within a team of 4 people, mainly Seniors Analysts, you will work as a Junior Corporate Client Analyst and Commercial Support.

You will have daily contacts with Senior Bankers, Credit Analysts, and Business Lines from all Société Générale´s subsidiaries worldwide.

Your role

2 principal assignments:

1. Develop current business and create new opportunities for transactions between Société Générale and German corporates with the Senior Bankers.

• Commercial and strategic analysis of large portfolios of German clients and prospects, to support Senior Bankers to strengthen and develop business opportunities:
• Participation in elaborating Société Générale´s internal strategy for its clients (business plan, specific surveys, press reviews, etc.).
• Preparation of documents for the meetings of Société Générale Board of Management with customers.
• Regular reviews and analyses of the profitability and equity debt ratio of the client portfolios for Societe Generale Germany Top Management .
• Preparation of specific notes such as the commercial part of Credit Applications or requests.
• Follow-up of regular updates of credit lines synthesis.
• Press review and collection of press releases, follow up of reception of legal documentation, update of Client List in local data base.

2. Follow-up Commercial Banking facilities, including assistance in origination.

• Implementation of bilateral and syndicated loans: assist the origination and work with Credit Analysts for the follow-up of the credit facilities (waivers, compliance certificates, contract amendments, etc.).
• Calculation and study of Basel II indicators and discussion of hedging issues when appropriate.
• Follow-up of legal documentation for Syndicated Credits (with lawyers, back-office, participating banks and the coverage officers).
• Assistance in the negotiation with client for new Commercial Banking credits (term sheet, legal documentation, facility agreement).
• Follow-up of financial covenants to keep informed Credit Analysts and Senior Bankers.

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

• This VIE in Frankfurt is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment.
• It will last 18 months.
• You will receive an allowance to complete Ubifrance allowance.

Your profile

• Graduate from a Business school, with a specialization in Finance, a previous experience (internship included) in an investment banking environment would be well-appreciated.
• You speak English, German and French fluently. You are proficient in use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Efficiency, pro-activity, rigor, good analytical skills and ability to summarize key messages, good communication skills, a deeply service orientation and client-driven approach as well as a real team spirit, will be essential to succeed in your support mission!
