Accountant (f/m) - French and English Speaking.

Your role

As a member of the Munich accounting team you perform several accounting functions including preparation of journal entries, maintenance of General Ledger and Accounts Payables, group reporting and other daily processing functions. In addition you will be cross-trained to perform other roles within the accounting department as well.
Your primary responsibilities:

• Update and maintain the General Ledger for our French legal entity (posting of bank, payroll, prepaids, accruals, reconciliations etc)
• Preparation of the monthly/quarterly reporting to our headquarters in the US according to US-GAAP rules
• Maintain the fixed asset accounting
• Support preparing accounts and reports for quarterly audits and Statutory Accounts
• Preparation/understanding of local required tax declarations as e.g. for VAT, CVAE etc
• Manage the processing of accounts payable transactions and payments in accordance with company and statutory policy
• Establishment of the monthly cash forecast
• Work with cross-functional teams and special projects
• Act as a proactive consultant within the organization
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
• Adhere to our customers policies and procedures as well as statutory rules

Required experience & skills

• Thorough accounting education
• Minimum of 4 years of general accounting or public accounting experience
• Knowledgeable in international accounting practices (US-GAAP)
• Experience in French Statutory and French taxes is preferred
• Experience in financial systems, preferably Oracle and Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and analytical approach
• Able to set priorities and complete multiple projects simultaneously
• English and French language skills are essential, excellent communication skills
